naked aliens, guys with chainsaws, foggy nights and gangsta fabness

Hi there,

I was just about to go to sleep but then I realized I wasn't really all that sleepy so I decided I would update the blobe. Anyways, for the past few days I've been hanging out with friends, going to the mall, you know the usual unoriginal teenage activities... on the way back from Liz's house I noticed how incredibly foggy it is outside. Like really really foggy... the kind where if you put on your high beams you can't see anything at all, and then when you leave your lights normal you still can't see anything... and it's all eerie and you feel like you're suddenly in a horror movie and some guy with a chainsaw is going to jump  out at you any second... you know what I mean? If you don't that's how I feel when I'm driving and it's all foggy... either that or I feel like some alien life form is about to dart across the street and halfway across pause and stare at me before running off into the woods... then nobody would believe me when I saw them, but even worse, when I'd get to my driveway I'd be too afraid to get out of my car... I mean, how freaked would YOU be if a naked alien (notice how aliens are always naked? They never have any cloths on... though it would be weird if they did... well maybe not if it was some high tech spacesuit or something... I wonder how you distinguish between a boy and girl alien...) darted across the street??? I sure would be... anyways, those are the two thoughts I have whenever I'm driving home in the fog... actually first I have the chainsaw guy thought, then when I pull into my driveway I have the alien one, like as I pull in (that's what she... he? said) my lights will shine on him (it's a boy alien by the way) before he darts (he always darts- never runs... maybe scurries...) away... wow... I probably should stop rambling about my fears regarding fog... I really went on about that didn't I? That's actually kind of embarrassing... okay, topic change.... now.

So for those of you who were wondering if Phineas died from the extra pellet- he didn't. He's still as fishy and swimy and bluey as ever... and yes, Phineas was name after Phineas in A Separate Peace... bonus points to whoever guessed that (I forgot who guessed that... sorry... reallllly bad memory... especially when it's 3 in the morning... which it is now... as I write this... yeah)

Anyways, I think I've rambled enough for tonight... I'd just like to make a shout out to all of my fellow 7W inhabitants (can I say that? 'make a shout out'? is make the right word..?) I miss you all so much and whenever I hear Live Your Life or Britney Spears I think of you guys... I also have a question... is the office going to be on next week? This is a first priority question people... (and yes, I just realized I could go online and check that now but it's too late, I already asked)

Peace out yo,
        M.S.

p.s. hahaha, I said 'peace out yo'...  could you imagine me saying the out loud? Oh wait, I don't have to... I'll say it out loud right now, hold on.... hahha, I sound so gangsta FABulous! hahha, now imagine me saying 'gangsta fabulous'... funny right?

p.p.s.  I'm hungry.

showers, starved fish and too much snow

Hello,

Right now I'm suffering from a stuffy nose because I took a long shower... I really need to make sure I keep those to under 20 minutes, ugh... anyways, I'm not really sure what to talk about here... oh, I know, I forgot to feed Phineas today... woops, I felt really bad about that... I've been debating whether or not to feed him extra on Christmas as a xmas present or something...? But what if his body wasn't use to the extra pellet of food and he somehow died?! I would never forgive myself...

For all you people who are not experiencing the snow, count yourselves lucky. The snow is really starting to bother me now... It's all stuck on the roof of my car and every time I break, huge slabs of snow come crashing down onto my windshield. Doesn't help that my windshield wipers don't really work all that well...

Oh and I'm watching Privileged right now and it's a pretty good show... I know that Livy and Alexandra H watch it and I might consider watching it from now on... and by might I mean will... and oh, the preview for Gossip Girl just came on and now I'm all excited for when it come back in January...

Alright, I'm gonna stop writing and watch some tv or something...

Happy Holidays!

It's a Winter Wonderland! Simply Dazzling...

Hello All,

It seems winter has officially arrived since we are experiencing our first snow storm. I first noticed the snow when I left my mandarin teacher's office on Comm Ave. It dazzled me. I put my face up to feel the soft wintery flakes of snow only to feel tiny pieces of snowy ice falling onto my face. It sort of hurt.. anyways, I continued to walk back to Towers and couldn't help but think how could anyone be mad when it snows? Snow just seems to have this calming effect- unless it's really windy out or something... Anyways, I got back to Towers and hung out in the common room for a bit waiting with Teresa and Alexandra P for Teresa's cab to come take her to South Station. Teresa started worrying because he cab came late- eventually calling the company and realizing no cab was coming. She ended up catching a cab on the way to the T stop and I just received a text message informing me that she made her train. Yay Teresa!!!

Some of us dread the snow. Others- who have yet to witness the miracle of snow are excited. (I'm talking about Alexandra P here... if you didn't catch that). I was able to witness Alexandra witness her first snow storm. So many things she had never seen before, starting off with drops of water with ice in them and ending with the building of a snowman and the inevitable snowball fight (with yours truly). From the common room we also witness a few people slipping and a bicyclist slowly making his way through the snow. Today Alexandra learned that sometimes the snowplows sprinkle sand on the ground. She was also able to see a snow shovel for the fist time today being *gasp* used. Eventually the two of us made our way outside where I tried to chase Alexandra down with a snowball but ended but falling barely catching myself from making out with the snow covered pavement. It was pretty embarrassing... it was right outside the doors to Towers too, so I'm sure my slip up didn't go unnoticed... Then we made a snowman. A very nice snowman might I add. Oh and I hit Alexandra in the face with a snowball on the way in- sorry Alexandra for sharing that...

Currently I am sitting in the common room by myself (and no it's actually not that lonely) eating popcorn and poptarts- lots of pops I guess... brown sugar cinnamon if you were wondering...

I think that's all I'll write for now... I'll continue to update!

Truly yours (not really),

GRRRRR

I. Am. So. Angry!!!! Grrrrr. I've realized that I have yet to post an angry rant- well here it is! My math teacher sucks. Last week I asked him a question and he was like 'just e-mail me and I'll figure it out' so you know what I did? I e-mailed him. But then he didn't reply. So I sent another e-mail. And now my final is tomorrow and he still hasn't replied, even though it has been a week. So early today I sent one final e-mail. NO RESPONSE. And I was planning on asking him during his office hours, but what did he do?! He sent an e-mail saying he was not going to have any office hours today!!!! ARGH!!! me=anger!

Lots of Anger,
       Maxine grrr.

Britney Spears, DBS, finals, miss yous

Hey everyone,

I'm feeling pretty bored and pretty blue because everybody is leaving to go home and I still have to stay in the dorms until Saturday since I've still got two finals left.... For my fellow floor 7W inhabitants who are reading this now, you are missed dearly. Since you left there are less people here to entertain me. But I'll see you all in a month. Oh and last night when I listened to Britney Spears I thought of you Adwoa, lol.

Anyways, I'm feeling pretty sleepy right now... I am tempted to just go to bed now, even though I need to study for my calc final tomorrow. Oh oh, Julienne just mentioned the snow tomorrow. How awesome would it be if finals were canceled? I know, I know, it's not going to happen, but you never know... Plus my final is in the morning and it's suppose to snow in the afternoon....

Oh, I just remembered. So do you want to know what I do now when I'm feeling blue? I go onto the Aston Martin homepage and watch the DBS movie clip. Always makes me feel a little better... That's another thing- hold on, I got a text message just now.. aww, it's from courtney!!! she says she misses everyone already! Courtney, that made me feel better. I miss you too! Even though you left only an hour ago, I still miss you! I hope I don't wake up tomorrow and go knock on your door for breakfast (I almost did that this morning for Alexandra H, lol). Anyways, just thought I'd do a pre-holiday post... I'll try and update my blog over vaca to keep you all updated on my wonderfully adorable life!

Hearts all around,

         Dj Blasian Afrasian

P.S. Tonight in the dinning hall for dinner Julienne started punching everyone because she saw a ginger, and then I like jumped back and was like "hairdye!!!" really really fast and not really quietly, and right when I did that soul-less man walked by me and gave me a weird look... So two nights in a row I have embarrassed myself in front of a soul-less person... (last night when I got out of the elevator singing "time to eat, time to eat")

That is all.

Revelations, Cannoli, ATM and Places of Failure

First of all, Katherine, I finished reading Revelations: Blue Bloods 3, I was a little disappointed throughout the book because nothing was really happening and it was annoying at times, but the ending totally changed my mind. There's going to be a fourth book too, even though there were only suppose to be three series with three books in each, I think I read somewhere that it was because the 3rd book would have been too long or something... anyways yeah

For everybody else now... First off I'll tell you an extremely embarrassing story that happened to me today in the north end... sigh... promise you won't make fun of me now... okay *sigh* here I go... sorry, I've got to collect myself before telling this tale- it's just that embarrassing. Okay. So after eating dinner I wanted to go to Modern Pastry to buy a cannoli. So I ordered my delicious cannoli but then Adwoa comes in and tells me that their credit card machine is broken. I had absolutely no cash on me. None. So I was like, great now I've got to run to the bank. So I walk to the bank, go in get some money then leave. Once I get out of the little ATM room thing I was like 'oh, I forgot my receipt' so I go to open the doors and realize they're locked. Great. So I go into my wallet to get my debit card BUT CAN'T FIND IT. I start freaking out a bit, like I had it a second ago, where is it? Then I look through the glass doors at the ATM and see not only my receipt hanging out of the machine, but my debit card! One word was on my mind, 'fuck'. There is absolutely no way to get in there because you need a card to swipe in. I spend the next 10-15 minutes standing there looking and feeling like an idiot asking people as they go by if they are fellow citizen bankers, but nobody is- personally I think some of them where lying.... Eventually a group of guys come up and one of them has to get money and I'm like omg, thank god, and he opens the door for me and I grab my receipt, but the machine sucked up my debit card and won't spit it back out. The guy said the machine does that if nobody takes the card back. So now I've got to get a new debit card. Alright, there's my story of how I locked myself out of the ATM room with my debit card in the machine taunting me. Not a good day. Except I did get my cannoli eventually so I guess everything was okay...

Okay, one last thing, the sign for the 'couch of failure' has been officially put up. It features a picture of yours truly looking as pathetic and defeated as possible with the words 'Couch of Failure' written across the top. Nice huh?

Anyways, that's all I'm going to share for now... if you make fun of me for my ATM experience you WILL die. So don't even think about it.

Yours Truly,
The Founder of the Couch of Failure

boston blob, QM and Albert (aka Al)

First of all, this is not called the boston blob as Teresa likes to call it. And boys from six need to shut up, because I can hear them laughing through the vents in the common room. And your laughter sounds stupid by the way. Laaaaaaammmmeee. Anyways, on to more important matters. Teresa was asking me just now what I was doing and I was like chatting with my friend Katherine and writing a new blog post. Then I rambled some about me going to bed at 2 cuz I still have to do some reading and then I had to explain how my blogs are written from inspiration and that when inspiration strikes, I've got to just go with the flow. Fllllllllooooooooooow. Yep. Flow. I like that word. Nice.

You know what is interesting? the HYATT. It changes colors and all. Blue. Green. Yellow. Red. Orange on Halloween. Yeah... I can see it from where I like to sit in the common room.

Okay, now for some interesting stuff...
Today I went to Quincy Market and had a gyro. I'd been craving Greek food for awhile so I was pretty satisfied. There's this green house thingy at QM (that stands for  Quincy Market- clever huh?) and I really wanted to get a plant for my room. A nice little green one. And I will call him Albert. My plant Albert. Nice huh? Anyways, I looked around and nothing seemed particularly Albert-like (I shall call him Al for short). I did see these little mini trees and thought about buying one but they were like 75 dollars (which I would have paid for but everyone was like don't buy it Maxine, it's so expensive, and then I realized I didn't like these mini trees cuz they just weren't mini enough), so now I am on a search for mini mini trees (also known as extra mini trees). If you happen to see one please notify me immediately so that I may purchase my Albert. I just realized I should probably give my plant Albert an alias, to protect him from online predators like I did with Phineas, but it seems too late for that, and I already wrote so much, it would be pointless to erase it. Or do the easy thing and just change the name. But what if I already have?! Ha, you would never know. Perhaps Albert is the alias name! See how tricky I can be? You shall never know. Unless I already told you in person what I hope to call my new green plant.

Okay I'm going to stop now because I need to start that reading that I should be doing... I'm falling a little bit behind.

Tuesday no school, how very exciting.

Seriously. I really do think it's exciting. I wasn't being sarcastic there.

Seriously.

I shall now use a phrase Katherine just used,

Toodles,
- M.ster

Adwoa, Updates and POIs

 Hello fellow blobe readers,

No I have not forgotten about this wonderful blog, so there is no reason to worry.. I am currently sitting under the hair dryer in my hair salon. Adwoa is sitting her next to me demanding to know what I am writing especially since I just asked her how to spell her name. I'm not sure if she can read what I'm writing. Oh... she said she can't see when I just gave her a dirty 'you better not be reading this' look. Wait! She just laughed at what i typed... she can totally read what I'm writing now.

Anyways, I guess I'll give you all a quick update on my life. College life... yep yep
- going to BU for college
- still undecided in CAS
- on tuesdays I like to order 2x tuesday from dominos, it's when you buy one large pizza you get one free! amazing I know.
- began watching the office intensely
- currently reading Jane Eyre and liking it
- most likely failing math

Yeah, i'm not really sure what else I can say here... I guess I'm opening it up to questions from the audience...

Okay, one last thing, I will be coming home for Thanksgiving and I think it'd be cool if we could all get together for... something...? I don't know what yet... oh! Perhaps an old el paso taco night? I'll think about it.

Okay, last last thing, I just remembered something I could update you all on, my POIs also known as Person of Interest. These are the people I see frequently who I find interesting in some way or another. Here we go:

first there is pretty elevator boy who I first met the elevator (well, not met... saw) anyways, not sure if he's gay or not... leaning towards gay though.. such a shame

second, there's soul-less boy who i also first saw in an elevator. This guys freaks me out because he. has. no. soul. I swear his eyes are black. He never shows any emotion. He makes you feel extremely uncomfortable and dare I say, uncanny? Perfect word, uncanny.

then there's soul-less man, who's soul-less boy's 'cousin'

socks guy aka lab coat guy who I once saw wearing jeans that were too short with socks that were too long- one jean leg was tucked into one of those very long socks. it was disastrous.

then there's the twins. two guy twins who dress exactly the same. EXACTLY the same every single day. EVERY day. seriously, same jeans, shirt, shoes, socks. freaky. and they eat the same thing at breakfast too. there's more info on them, but that is all I will share for now.

Anyways, there are a bunch of other POIs and the girls on my floor help add details and people to this ever growing list, it entertains us frequently in the dining hall. Although I'm pretty sure all of our POIs know that we watch them. Yeah I'm like  95% sure they know since last night one of soul-less man's friends glared at us for staring...

Until next time,

I'll keep the few of you who read this posted,
Maxine

updates and car-ni-whats?

It is time. For me to write another lovely post that I know all my dearest friends read *ahem*. And I know it has been quite awhile since I've written anything. But you have to understand, these brilliant posts I write don't just come out of nowhere believe it or not. My posts must be written out of inspiration! Obviously. Anywho... i'm pretty bored at the moment, i'm at the hairdresser, sitting under the drying- I have about 25 minutes left of intense drying so I thought, why not post?

Here's an update on my life (how does that sound? Updates are always good)
-Going to college
-Uhh...
....
....
....
-Currently at the hairdresser....
....
....
-Oh oh! Went to the car-ni-val. TWICE. Lots of fun that car-ni-val. If you knew me at all you would know exactly how i'm pronouncing car-ni-val. Hence those little - in between that wonderful word
-Oh and at the car-ni-val I got stung by a bee! While on the ride known as the Freak Out. For the record, i've never been stung by a bee before so it was quite the experience. The only negative thing I can think up regarding the car-ni-val is that there are no first aid kits there. None. That means no ice packs- and when you try to ask the soda guy for some ice he tells you he doesn't have any, but that if I bought a cold soda it would work just the same. For a minute I refused to purchase said soda on account of principle, but eventual I *sigh* gave in and bought that damn soda. And after icing my wound I have a lovely victory drink!

I suppose that's enough updating for now... until next time darlings

athlete vs. elliptical, blobe vs. globe, fish vs. dog

Okay, post #3, cool.

Today I went to the GYM. You know, that place with all those machines and sweaty people? It’s all so foreign to me now that I’m no longer an athlete. I love saying that word- a t h l e t e. Anyways, I only went because my mom made me. It wasn’t so bad though, I used the elliptical and the treadmill for a total of 30 minutes. Elliptical is such a cool word. I think I love it more than athlete... Do I need to wipe down the machine after I use it? Cuz sometimes I see people doing that, but not all the time… is there some rule? Like if you worked out for this amount of time you have to wipe it down, or if you sweat this much you have to wipe it down? I didn’t wipe anything down today and as I left I couldn’t help but feel paranoid that everyone was watching me thinking ‘the nerve of that girl, she didn’t even wipe down that elliptical’.

Enough about the g-y-m. I can’t find my camcorder… and I wanted to make a lovely video before graduation but that won’t be possible until I find that camcorder… I’m starting to worry… what if I dropped it somewhere and didn’t notice? Probably not though.

I’m trying to figure out if I can google my blog because that would be so cool. Except when I typed in ‘the boston blobe’ I kept getting the boston globe. A little unfair in my opinion.

Today I also went to the library. I’m not really sure why… but I put Sarah Dessen’s new book on hold (fk: have you read it yet?).

If you were wondering, Phineas is doing fantastic. I really think he’s adjusted to his new home and all. I’m trying to train him… you know, maybe teach him a few tricks for the next time someone’s over. You’d be impressed right? I mean, you see dogs doing tricks all the time, how many times have you seen a fish do one? I just hope he isn’t one of those fish with a 5 second memory…

-Me
p.s. i'm pretty sure I was joking about the whole teaching Phineas tricks... pretty sure... maybe when I'm really bored one day

Law&Order, Mr. Caulfield and EYES

I'd just like to say that this second post proves just how serious I am about this wonderful blog.

Now, onto more important matters- should I stay up to watch the new episode of Law & Order tonight? I know staying up to 11 may not be very late, but keep in mind that it can take me forever to fall asleep. I’ve started watching Law & Order if you didn’t catch that.

New thought. Currently I’m re-reading The Catcher In The Rye (do I need to caps the ‘in’ and ‘the’?). I’m not going to lie; I’m a big Holden fan. Though I feel like most people aren’t crazy about him. What can I say? He’s funny. And who doesn’t like funny?

Another new thought. Uhhhhhhhhhh

I feel like I shouldn’t just end my post like this- look how little I’ve rambled… quick! Think of something to ramble about…. I’m addicted to fanfiction. Still. Although sometimes I’ll go a few days without going on and I can’t help but think ‘finally! I’ve overcome this horrible addiction’ only to find myself reading the next day… OH! I know guess what, guess what? I’m slowly going blind! Well… not really, but my eyesight is getting worse and worse! I’m getting glasses! Can you believe it? I used to have perfect vision so this is a bit of a surprise for me. It’s not like I can’t see… stuff is just blurry sometimes… anywho, I’m pretty sure it gets worse everyday, seriously. At the beginning of the year, I could see certain things clearly, and now I’ve got to squint. But don’t worry, this has nothing to do with my fanfiction addiction- I asked the eye lady.
Okay, this post seems good enough- not too much rambling, just enough… cool

dead fishes, axe murders, spilled milk and birthday wishes

So I was lying in bed and after about 2 hours I realized I wasn’t going to fall asleep and despite being exhausted before getting into bed, I was (am) wide awake- pretty much what happens to me every night. So as usual when I can’t sleep I either find something to read or turn on the t.v (which you should always proceed with caution because the bright light from the t.v is blinding when you’ve been lying in the dark for the past 2 hours- like b-l-i-n-d-i-n-g). so I watched the Simpsons, then Friends then eventually decided it was time for that after midnight snack- I’m always reminded of Scooby-Doo (you know that mystery solving dog?) whenever I go to get a midnight snack. Okay so I go downstairs and turned on the kitchen light and look over at Phineas (yes I will call him Phineas on my blog to protect his privacy from online predators- actually it’s because it’s what his name should have been) in his bowl who’s FLOATING AT THE TOP OF THE BOWL. I almost had a heart attack, but then he swam down to the bottom. I THOUGHT HE HAD DIED. I mean I’ve only had him for a few weeks so that would’ve been pathetic. And it’s not like going downstairs in the middle of the night to early morning isn’t scary enough- I always feel like there’s some crazed axe murder lurking in the shadows just waiting for me to get a hunger craving and come downstairs to get a late night snack- Anyways, while I was making myself some toast, I started thinking, ‘why not write my first blog entry now?’ because really, what’s better than insomnia induced rambling? Apparently I wasn’t paying attention because my toast burned. Haven’t burned toast in a long time. Okay not that you really need to know this but I totally just spilled milk all over myself- I’m just going to blame it on fatigue. Alright, that’s enough rambling for tonight, I promised myself I would keep it to a minimum…

Okay, so I lied… but it’s just because I forgot to add one more thing. Now this is VERY important. Life or death matter here. I need new Ipod headphones. Desperately. If anyone has any old ipod headphones they don’t need anymore feel free to hand them over- think of it as a birthday present! But seriously, used headphones anyone? I’m too cheap/lazy to buy new ones (they’re $30! Do you know what I could buy with $30? Also I’m against buying new ipod headphones, I’m not sure why though) So again, used old ipod headphones, you know who to give them too. I will be eternally grateful and will love you for life because I sort of need music during passing time for the ultimate space background. I will give credit to Katherine who gave me hers but uh… those broke sometime last week…

To be honest I don’t really want anything for my birthday at this point. Well nothing I can really think of… but you know what would be awesome? A cupcake! I would really like a cupcake, one of those big ones? I mean not colossal, but you know those biggish bakery ones? With all the frosting? Also I’ve run out of those ice breaker tropical sour things… though I’ll just get those the next time I’m at CVS. For my birthday I would also like it to be warm enough outside not to have to wear a jacket and not freeze- I get cold easily. It’s not like I’m asking that much, just a change in the weather, maybe straight A’s for the rest of the year and a part-time job… Oh, and pearls- but don’t worry, I’m waiting until I’m like 21 to get those (and I’ll pay for them myself… maybe… possibly… … …)

Okay I know, I’ve rambled way too much and nobody is actually going to read to the end of this. Though if you do I will be impressed. You will have impressed me. So if you’ve read all of this- with little to no skimming- than congratulations, you’re a winner! At least to me. No, you’ll be my hero… maybe… possibly… …

Can we still having my wonderful birthday chatroom? it makes me happy- and we like to make me happy, right? if you love me at all you'll be there!

-Maxine
